Weight

Posted by: typealice In: Daily|Gillian

I have struggled with my weight ever since I can remember. I ballooned in University when I gained about 15 lbs in four months. I was unaware it was even happening, actually. I got home after my last semester and weighed myself and, ohmygod, I was 148 pounds! How did that happen? That summer I [...]

I just ate a banana straight off a tree from my front yard. AND it was the best banana I’ve ever had! Living in the Caribbean kicks ass! In unrelated news, I found another delicious blog… well, several. Through my favorite blogger, dooce, I learned about Bloggers in Amsterdam, an event where holland.com and a [...]

Cameras?

Posted by: typealice In: Daily

With any luck I’ll be buying a replacement camera while I’m home this spring. Clive’s got a great Canon camera, but we’re both avid shutterbugs and the thought of sharing a camera is a bit daunting. Plus, he takes all my sunrise pictures off the camera and onto his computer (mixing them in with his [...]

Overnight!

Posted by: typealice In: Daily

This happened OVERNIGHT. I think I’m growing a Venus Fly Trap or something equally powerful and daunting. Not only did it spout up with the strongest looking stem I’ve seen on a baby plant, it shot up with such force that it took a big chunk of the dirt and relocated it one centimeter away [...]

The Office

Posted by: typealice In: Daily|Links

Dwight (from The Office) has a blog! So funny! In Canada it is always winter. Sometimes the sun never rises in Canada. Harp seals abound until they are brutally slaughtered by Canadians. They worship maple syrup, hockey and Alanis Morisette. I hate Canadians. Note: Screw all you Office (UK) lovers, I think it sucks. The [...]

The Weekend

Posted by: typealice In: BVI|Daily|Gillian|I <3 Clive

I took most of yesterday off and Clive and I had a wonderful afternoon. It’s rare that I actually take some time for us and my Self, but after a hard week, and likely an even harder week coming, I really needed it. After doing a major cleaning on the house, we went out for [...]

Fonts

Posted by: typealice In: Daily|Design

If I were a programmer this is what I’d do: Create a simple program that allowed me to organize my genres of fonts into folders (script, dingbats, futuristic, fat, thin, old fashioned etc) so that whenever I opened Photoshop/Word/Illustrator etc, I could simply go to that folder and choose the font style quickly and easily. [...]

Rumors…

Posted by: typealice In: Daily|I <3 Clive

Rumor has it that I just met this recent millionaire yesterday. I saw him again today and he remembered my name. A little tiny part of me is thrilled.

Pimping

Posted by: typealice In: Daily|Design|Links

I recently purchased a new domain, diaryofaloser.com for my friend Jen who I’ve been friends with for years and have only met once. She took my ex and I to eat very delicious veggie burgers, on a trip up a mountian so I could see the Pacific for the first time and then allowed us [...]

  • Asheo: 3rd birthday is coming up really soon! So a few days early... Happy Birthday Ash!
  • April: I feel the blog revolt as well. I am not comfortable saying some of the things I would like to say with strangers, and I don't feel I'm able to mask
  • Stefanie: Hello, I have been a follower of yours since the BME days… and have always found your blog fascinating. This came across my blog today, and I though
