Like chocolate cake? Like chocolate cake with sauce?
Here’s a recipe that’s the best vegan (or not vegan) chocolate cake EVER: Hot Fudge Pudding
1 c flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 c sugar
2 T cocoa
1/2 c milk
2 tsp melted margarine
1/2 tsp vanilla
Mix all together and pour into a bread pan.
Sprinkle with:
1 c brown sugar
2 T cocoa
Pour 1 3/4 water on top of that. Bake for 40-45 minutes at 350 degrees.
Often times it takes about 60 minutes to bake completly. It is a bit strange to pour water on top of batter, but with the cocoa and sugar it forms a delicious sauce! You’ll know the cake is done when you stick a knife in the middle of it and it comes out clean.
This cake is best when it comes out of the oven (allowing a few minutes to cool off, of course).
Also: this cake never fails to boil over. PUT TIN FOIL directly below it, or you’ll have a lovely little sugar-sticky mess at the bottom of your oven. You’ve been warned.
