I may need therapy…

Posted by: typealice In: BVI| Daily| Gillian

1. Be happier
2. Don’t worry as much
3. Stop swearing so often

These are some new self-inflicted rules that I will live by as soon as possible. With some encouragement from Clive, who is arguably one of the most laid back people (sometimes to a fault) that I’ve ever met. These things should make my life- and his- much easier to live.

These rules did NOT apply tonight when my cat brought in the biggest rat I’ve ever seen in my life. It was honestly as big as the kitten. I screamed so much that the neighbours thought that I may have been getting raped and luckily one of them came down with some salad tongs and a bucket and took the disgusting thing out of my house. I swore a lot. It did not make me happy, and I was definitely stressed out.

I had a good vacation and I took lots of video and will be putting together a montage asap. I planned on working on it tonight, but I don’t have the Pixie’s song I want to use (Where is my mind?) on my computer, and the rat kinda spoiled everything anyway.

It has to be said again: that was about the best spontaneous vacation/getaway i’ve ever had; i can’t imagine having a much better time, nor having a better vacation cohort! Thanks, Gillian; it was a blast!

About

I'm Gillian, a Nova Scotian woman with a son named Ash (born 09/07) and a wife to Clive. I am what they call an Attachment Parent; I breastfeed, wear my baby as much as possible, cosleep, cloth diaper and practice elimination communication. I have very strong parenting views. We are raising Ash as an organic vegetarian. I care about the environment and do what I can to reduce my carbon footprint and set a good example for others, especially my child.

I'm proudly drug free, but can't say that I have always been. My early 20s were comprised mostly of travelling- I've lived and worked everywhere from West Africa to the Caribbean. I currently run AP Mamas, a site dedicated to attachment parenting and G Slings, my sustainable sling company.
