I just got an email from a stranger saying, “How many marriage proposals do you get per week?” Ha!!
I’m assuming they arrived at my website (like a lot of other people lately) through wherethehellismatt.com which is my latest design and development project. His level of internet fame reached an astounding level, far greater than my Finger Biting fame, which a lot of people still believe to be truth. I guess you’ll have to meet me in person in order to know whether or not I have half a digit.
Matt’s new video makes me smile every time I watch it, and the opening scene is my favorite, and was also my favorite location for his photographs. Even though I’ve been in 16 different countries, his videos always let me know that there is still so much out there to see. I launched his new site almost exactly 24 hours ago, and it’s already been viewed on YouTube 13,125 times and has 476 comments. Crazy.

Speaking of seeing new places, the countdown is on for me leaving this rock, and I’m feeling oddly nostalgic. I’ve spent nearly a year here, and it’s the longest place I’ve lived in a very, very long time. I generally get bored of living somewhere after a mere 4-6 months, but I found my dream job here, and I bought my first car (a Suzuki Vitara, which I’m selling tomorrow morning) and had a cute little bachelor apartment with a great view of the ocean and other islands. There were reasons to stay.
I’m leaving everything behind to move back to Canada. I will be on vacation for at least two weeks starting Monday and NEVER has a vacation been so well deserved. I would like to avoid my computer for a little while, and I really hope to be able to stay in a cabin in northern Ontario and fish and bar-b-que and swim and relax.

In case anyone is wondering, I will be looking for employment upon my move away from the Caribbean. I’m 100% willing to relocate (to almost anywhere in the world). Email me for a copy of my resume; it is broad and I’m good at anything and everything I put my mind to. I’ve worked in West Africa as a web developer and teacher, in Mexico as a journalist and all over Canada doing all kinds of things. My most recent job has been as a Webmaster and Fund Analyst in the offshore/international investment industry, and am interested in continuing in that feild if 1. the people are right and 2. if the money is too. (Right people always comes before right money.)
