Cats and the BVI

Posted by: typealice In: BVI| Daily| Videos

I tend to not miss the BVI at all, as I didn’t really like it there anyway, but recently when I’ve been trying to fall asleep, snippits of my life there tend to run through my head. When I’m able to forget all the things that I didn’t like (the cost of living, the extreme heat, work stress etc) and focus on the things that I did like (the night sounds, snorkeling etc), I am finally able to feel good about living there for the past year. It’s only taken me two months to stop being bitter about it.

I’m putting together a compilation video from my footage of the BVI. I’m going through everything I have- stuff that I used in my other videos and never seen before video. I have an awful lot of footage of my cats, both of whom I miss incredibly. Seeing our kitten is what makes me the most nostalgic, which isn’t surprising considering our [ringwormed] cats are what I missed most about living in Mexico, too.

About

I'm Gillian, a Nova Scotian woman with a son named Ash (born 09/07) and a wife to Clive. I am what they call an Attachment Parent; I breastfeed, wear my baby as much as possible, cosleep, cloth diaper and practice elimination communication. I have very strong parenting views. We are raising Ash as an organic vegetarian. I care about the environment and do what I can to reduce my carbon footprint and set a good example for others, especially my child.

I'm proudly drug free, but can't say that I have always been. My early 20s were comprised mostly of travelling- I've lived and worked everywhere from West Africa to the Caribbean. I currently run AP Mamas, a site dedicated to attachment parenting and G Slings, my sustainable sling company.
