Clive and I have been busy downloading and watching the first season of Heroes when we haven’t been driving back and forth between Halifax looking for places to live. Dude, that show is so good! I’ve heard mixed things about it, and we generally stick to reality tv, but we’re both really enjoying the show.
We still don’t have a place, but we’ve been looking all over the city and hopefully will find the right place soon. We’ve sent in an application for an expensive (but brand new)apartment in Dartmouth (across the harbour from Halifax) and will decide this week if we want to take it. We’ve got a couple of appointments lined up for tomorrow night, and they look promising as well. I hate apartment hunting, but not nearly as much as job hunting.
The baby is so big in my belly now, and when he’s awake and active it feels like he’s ready to burst out of my skin. He sometimes stretches his legs out and jabs his feet into the very edge of my uterus (on my side), and jesus, it hurts. I am looking forward to being able to bend over without panting, and to get rid of this near-constant indigestion. I’m past the 36-week mark and I still am hoping that he’ll come late. We need as much time as possible to prepare.
