Tattoo?

Posted by: typealice In: Daily

Since I’m no longer part of IAM, my resources are limited, so I’m looking for recommendations from people about tattoo artists in Ontario- I guess Toronto specifically, but I am willing to travel.

I want to get a colourful old school anchor tattoo on my foot in early May when Clive, Ash and I travel to Ontario to visit his family (including our new niece or nephew). Any suggestions? I want it nice. Halifax is limited.

If you’re willing to come down here, Tim Reid of Internal Expressions (and now, Black Sheep studio also, I think) is excellent! He’s well known and has done all of what Ian has so far. Another great one locally is John Wayne of Beesting Tattoos, but I believe his wait list is almost two years long, if you can imagine! We’d love to have you over if you’re up for the drive! :)

It’ll be too late for you, but I’m THIS close to having my tattoo guy move out from Williams Lake to Bridgewater. Seriously.

I can’t lend any tattoo advice, but I’d love to have a cup of coffee or tea with you if time allows.

Far from Ottawa… but I really enjoy Julian Garner and Jimmy Gobeil of Five Cent Tattoo in Ottawa. http://fivecentstattoo.com/

Go see Matt Ellis of Seven Crowns Tattoo in Toronto. You probably haven’t heard of the shop, but that’s because it was recently opened within the past month. He was at Way Cool Uptown for something like 10 years before recently leaving.

He’s done several of my pieces, including an amazing thigh piece of an upright bass. You can see pictures of the work he’s done for me on my facebook, “Robyn Jacqueline,” just search through your friends page, I’m one for your facebook friends.

I can’t help… but Yuri? There is a good tattooist in Williams Lake? As in Williams Lake, BC? That really surprises me. I lived there briefly.

Yup, that’s what he means. I believe it’s where he grew up.

DUH. You’re all coming to stay at my house and get tattooed by Scott. Silly girl! How else am I gonna meet your gorgeous baby boy? We’ll watch the kids chase chickens and goats while the men find some fish. :P

(He’s booked till Sept, so if you actually do think you may want to come, email me first instead of calling the shop).

OH! AMAZING!!!
First, your hubby is talented and I totally trust him (which of your tattoos has he done?).

No, wait, that should have been second.

I LOVE the idea of Ash and Bob meeting and running around together and hell, Meeps will be big enough by then to run around too! And I would love it if our hubbys go fishing (any excuse for Clive!) and for us to sit and chat!!

For sure, definitely, 100%. I cannot wait to see (and drool over) where you live!

PS. I would have just asked, but I know how busy Scott is so I never thought I could get it done by him.
