25 Things

Posted by: typealice In: Gillian

Like Caitlin said, this is going around Facebook and many of you aren’t my friend there (I am only friends with real life people or those who I recognize as friends online. No random strangers). So, here it is.

Once you’ve been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you.

1. I love and crave knowing what the current gas prices are, what the temperature is and what time it is.

2. I still wear my engagement ring.

3. I grew up on a farm with goats, chickens and pigs.

4. I’ve never taken a swimming lesson in my life. I learned how to swim in deep water when my step father would drag me out literally kicking and screaming out of fear and leave me there so I had to swim back. It worked, but it was terrifying.

5. My favorite beach is in Kingsburg, Nova Scotia and someday I will have my ashes scattered there.

6. I will donate my organs except my eyes and heart. I hope I don’t go to science. I’d rather save someone’s life.

7. I prefer diet Coke over diet Pepsi.

8. I don’t miss living in Ontario, but I do miss our friends and Clive’s sister.

9. I hated living in the Carribean.

10. I miss West Africa and my life there immensely, five years later.

11. I knew within 24 hours of meeting Clive, before we’d even kissed, that I’d marry him even though he didn’t shut up about some other girl that he was convinced he was destined to marry.

12. Clive and I fell in love within two weeks of knowing one another. We were engaged 11 months after meeting and were married 2.5 years after becoming engaged. In March we’ll have been together for four years. This is my longest relationship.

13. I once spent a couple of years with hairy pits.

14. I’ve been a vegetarian for ten years.

15. I compost even when it’s inconvenient.

16. My sister is my best friend.

17. I don’t like many movies but I spend hours at a time watching reality television.

18. Since having a child, people have stopped asking me if I wear contacts.

19. Ash is the most amazing person I’ve ever met and I love spending my days with him, as long as he’s well rested.

20. I miss smoking even though it’s gross.

21. I love the parenting philosophies I live by, and I love how passionate I am about natural parenting. It’s the first time I’ve ever felt this kind of passion.

22. Now that I am crafty, I cannot imagine my life without it.

23. I am thoroughly addicted to sugar.

24. We have the names picked out already for our second and last child.

25. I am naturally blonde.

“2. I still wear my engagement ring.”

Is that not the norm in Canada? Here in the US, I think almost all women always wear their engagement rings.

I don’t think I know anyone who wears an engagement ring.

Though, most of my friends aren’t married.
