Tattoo Revelation

Gillian, Stripes, Tattoo

I tried something new with my recent tattoo, something I doubt anyone else in the whole world has ever tried because it’s made by a small local company and is usually used for minor skin irritations, eczema, psoriasis, burns etc. It’s an all-natural product that has an amazing reputation with amazing results and I’ve known for the past year that if I got a tattoo again, this is the only thing I’d use. And that’s what I did.

My tattoo healed quickly, seamlessly and literally DID NOT SCAB at all. I couldn’t have picked it if I tried. I didn’t even take pictures of the healing process because there was nothing to take pictures of! Once a day I slathered myself with this olive oil based stuff and that’s it.

There is NO comparison to my foot (see pictures below) with huge, thick scabs that were oh-so-pickable (I resisted!). I only used petroleum-free moisturizer on this one from 2009.

I can’t recommend Anointment’s Healing Skin Ointment enough. Try it! Seriously! I’m not even getting paid to say this!

wow, sounds good! and that was a big tattoo! you got color already? i usually use tattoo goo, i love the smell and it works just as you described. i wonder if i could find someone local who makes something similar though, i love that you’re supporting a local business. :)

The one on my arm always had colour. :)

I have never seen anything quite like this product. The good thing about the business is that they also ship! The easiest place to go through is Nurtured- the store I linked, which is where I spend 40 hours/week. ;)

woops, thought you just had the outline. my bad. also my bad for not following the link. that stuff has malaleuca oil in it? awesome, my grampa used to give that to us for EVERYTHING, like the dad is with windex in my big fat greek wedding. :) i’ll try this stuff next, thanks lady!

Well, technically, it could be just more of a location issue…foot tattoos are notorious for the swelling and subsequent scabbing they get. I do use an olive oil based product on my stretched piercings though and it always feels and smells fabulous!

I reckon the biggie is the location rather than the product although never knock a good one. My big ship on my arm (similar location and style) healed perfectly but my foot was a bastard to heal. Best comparison would be another foot and then your other arm tattooed and then submit another review ;) Now go get inked!
