My name is Gillian. I grew up in Nova Scotia, and started travelling at age 20 with a solo trip around Europe. My life has been very eclectic, working different jobs, living in different places and meeting different people. I’m most comfortable when I’m not stagnant.
I’ve visited seventeen different countries (all over Canada and the USA, Mexico, England, France, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Portugal, Spain, Germany, Belgium, Holland, British Virgin Islands, St. Maarten, Cuba and The Gambia), and have lived on three different continents. I’m currently living in Halifax, Nova Scotia and love being back home.
I gave birth to a little boy in September of 2007. I am what they call an Attachment Parent; I breastfeed, wear my baby as much as possible, cosleep, cloth diaper and practice elimination communication. We are raising Ash as an organic vegetarian. I am extremely passionate about breastfeeding and would go sofar as to call myself a “lactivist.”
I own an accessories business called Pip Robins.

My sustainable accessories company Pip Robins keeps me busy in the evenings.
