I feel the blog revolt as well. I am not comfortable saying some of the things I would like to say with strangers, and I don’t feel I’m able to mask myself enough to create a blog persona a la soulemama, so I’ve decided to stop for now. I’ve gone back to the old fashioned journal. Sure, people can still read it when I leave it lying around on my kitchen table, but usually the people at my kitchen table a) either aren’t old enough to know how to read or b) were invited there. I even started a new “secret” personal blog but have decided to discontinue that as well right now, too much in my head to have the world judge the content at the moment.

Rosie: Wow, that is pretty sad. It was such a wonderful place for me for so many years, it would have been nice to see it go on after we all left… but I guess not.

It’s possibly one of the saddest things about the demise of IAM. I even went back there for a few months when Lady Voldemort gave us all free time in a desperate attempt at resuscitating the site. it was desolate, nobody updated, and hundreds of people (WHO? the place is dead and yet there is an audience… it’s creepy) read my very personal diaries every week without saying a single word. Instead of feeling safe like I used to, I felt even more exposed than ever. So I deleted it for good this time and walked away, having lost the outlet for all my ranting.

I hope you can find somewhere else to write even if it isn’t here. I confess, sometimes I disagree with what you write, but even if I disagree with you, I would, Voltaire-style, defend to the death your right to say it!
